With over 20 years of experience, BCRL (Brick cleaning, restoration London) caters for both domestic and commercial brick cleaning.
BCRL uses the Doff & Torik system to clean bricks and stone. Torik & Doff is a gentle process of cleaning bricks and stone using steam. The pressure and temperature are kept high at the nozzle end and this is adjusted during cleaning. It’s an industry-leading cleaning process that causes minimal damage to the surfaces. Not only are our brick cleaning solutions industry-leading, they’re also environmentally friendly.
In addition to advanced technologies, our technicians are fully qualified and hold a range of industry certifications. We’re also corporate members of CSCS (Health & Safety), IPAF (anyone who operates a Mobile Elevating Work Platform) and Safe Contractor. This means we’re able to reach tall heights, whilst adhering

Case Studies
Brick cleaning restoration project – This wonderful project in Cheyne Walk, London required careful and meticulous attention and took two months to complete. Firstly, we had to test an area of the wall to assess and identify substance, as it could be oil / lead based paint or a plastic based paint or both. Once we have a plan of action, we proceeded to remove any dirt and grease off the brick surface. We had to ensure during the cleaning phase we applied the right amount of pressure as the mortar and brick are delicate and may get damaged if too much force is applied. Our experience working with period properties ensures we were able to strip the paint and restore the beautiful original brickwork making them look as good as new.
Case Study
What made this project more challenging was access, as we were unable to erect scaffolding or use a cherry picker. We finally decided to use a superheated method to clean the property and achieved access by abseiling.
